Well, I finally got a laptop so I can do some proper development work. My Internet access is fairly sporadic these days (dialup ) but in a week or two I should be moving to cable.
Hehe, been moving boxes and furniture for a few days. My parents are moving and then I'm moving at the same time so it's pretty chaotic. I wish I had some time to just sit down and work on some things.
How can I close my dell laptop and still run windows from my 2nd monitor without going into Standby? I have my dell Inspiron laptop with a 19" monitor on the side plugged in. The monitor is the primary Screen and when I close the laptop, it goes into standby. Isn't there a way to have it that I can close the laptop and it's still running? How can I do this? ___________ external keyword tool ~ keyworddiscovery.com ~ keycompete.com ~ compete.com ~ webmasterworld.com

I searched around online and found this piece of advice:
Go into the control panel and then power options. Then click on the advanced tab. There should be something that says: "When I close the lid of my portable computer".... change this to 'do nothing'.
